COMMITTED TO CONSERVATION
AND A SUSTAINABLE OUTFITTING HERITAGE
WELCOME TO CANADA'S YUKON
The Yukon Outfitters Association represents a proud and enduring tradition rooted in the history of the Yukon. Since the formal establishment of the Association in 1958, outfitting has played a vital role in shaping the Territory’s renewable resource economy and wildlife stewardship.
The allocation of hunting concessions across the Yukon marked the beginning of a uniquely Northern system, one that ensures responsibility, accountability, and long-term care of the land and wildlife. Many of these concessions have been passed down through generations, creating deep connections.

Their work represents a proven model of sustainable use, where conservation and responsible harvest go hand in hand. Through careful management, monitoring, and respect for wildlife, outfitting continues to support healthy populations and strong ecosystems across the Yukon.

The Yukon is home to a remarkable diversity of big game species, including moose, Dall sheep, Stone/Fannin sheep, barren-ground and mountain caribou, mountain goat, grizzly bear, black bear, wood bison, wolf, and wolverine.
